Great little entrenching tool. Will work great for camping, hiking etc. Takes up very little space and weighs almost nothing.

Compact and easy to store

Lightweight. Feels sturdy enough, but you may need to make sure you really crank the connection down. A half turn less than full and it collapses on itself. Fully locked, it holds fine. Sheath is cheap though. Ripped coming out of the cellophane.

This camp shovel is all it is cracked up to be: versatile, easy to use, comfortable while using, feature-full. I was very Pleasantly surprised by the Multifunction capability and the ease of switching between functions. My first juice was to dig a post hole for installing my new mailbox. Nice design but flimsy. Any pressure and the aluminium ring deforms and becomes like a cone allowing for too much movement of the blade. The blade itself also bends at any moderate pressure. The blade and the saw teeth are very dull and do not cut into ground or branches. Will be returning.I think for my camping purposes i will get a small steel shovel with non foldable wood handle.The only nice thing is the idea of a foldable shovel.

I bought this for my boat for charcoal burial on those isolated beach keys after a cookout on the beach. Stows away perfectly in a compact manner. Very handy.

Certainly not top-of-the-line in quality, but it will do the short, quick jobs around camp. Use it to dig, hammer in tent stakes, or just simply clear an area for the tent.
