- What exactly is starter tea? Starter tea is extra fermented Kombucha that has a low ph and strong vinegar taste. The low ph of starter tea enables your brew to ferment correctly and not mold. For a sucessful brew we recommend a minimum of 3.25 oz starter tea per quart or 13oz per gallon. This package includes 8oz of starter tea, over twice the amount needed to brew one quart. Guaranteed to work or your money back.
- A guide to brew 1 quart is located in the pictures above. Please note this package will not include a printed guide or a scoby.
- After brewing your quart you will now be ready to harvest approximately 24oz of kombucha and restart the process or use your finished quart of kombucha to brew a gallon.

Made an amateur feel like a pro!
I just harvested my first batch and it is so delicious! Super tasty and powerful stuff. I originally thought brewing my own kombucha would be difficult and take a lot of space. It absolutely does not. The Kombucha Company includes an awesome set of instructions to get you started. Additionally, you can contact them by email and they are always willing to offer assistance. If you are lucky enough to live nearby, you can even visit the shop for tastings of their delicious booch as well as hands on instruction. If I could give more stars I would! This mom and pop shop is completely devoted to sustainability and helping people succeed at making their own booch.Thanks The Kombucha Company! Love you guys!

There's something special about their booch!
I got to taste their booch firsthand in person at their shop/brewery in Richmond, Tx. It was some of the best I'd ever tasted. They're passionate about what they do, put a lot of care into it, and want as many other people brewing booch as possible. So I ordered their starter kit and went for it. I'd started my own SCOBYs, and done some home brewing before, to mixed results. The booch I'm getting from the Kombucha Company's starter kit is the best I've produced. I know it's all science, but it feels like they've mastered a bit of magic!

So Much Fun and Thick SCOBY!
This is so cool! Like getting grandma's special bread starter. I've always wanted to make Kombucha, but worried about spending the time researching, trying, then failing. This is foolproof with a high grade SCOBY and clear directions. Even the packaging is high quality and aesthetically pleasing. My kids are so excited about this. Would highly recommend if you are looking to eliminate costs on low grade kombucha at the grocery store and make your own high quality kombucha with ease at home.
