Very sturdy
Product came quickly. 2 sets of screws for thicker or standard sized door.No instructions for adjusting lock to fit existing latch assembly so handle would not hit the door jamb for a right sliding door.Fairly easy to put together like any other type of lock once you move the lock assembly.

Requires extra hole if replacing a non-mortise lock sliding door handle
When my existing Rockwell sliding door handle failed just before I was due to leave on vacation, this was the only Rockwell product with a delivery time to match my plans. My bad! I incorrectly assumed that this mortise lock security handle would slot in where my present handle fitted. Wrong! Fitting it would have required me to drill a fresh hole in my door frame. Getting that precisely right was not something I felt comfortable doing, so I returned this item and bought a stop-gap, non-Rockwell product. With more time available after my vacation, I ordered the like-for-like Rockwell handle to replace my broken one.

Nice replacement handle for old Pella sliding patio door.
This handleset is a perfect fit for our 25 year old Pella sliding patio door. Installed easily without any modifications and looks great in the Satin Nickel finish. Finally, we actually have a working keyed lock on this door again.Be sure you order the correct model of this handleset. You have to know the thickness of the door, where the key tumbler is, center or offset, and how many holes are in the door. You’ll have to remove your existing handle to determine the number of holes but it’s a simple process. If your door is less than 1 3/4” thick you’ll probably have to trim the thin steel bar on the inside handle side, which slips into the locking mechanism. Again, this an easy modification as the bar has grooves in it in 1/8” increments. You’ll know whether you need to cut the bar because with both handle sides aligned with the locking mechanism and the bars from each side inserted into the receiving slot the handle sides will not mount flush on the surface of the door and won’t screw together properly. Check this fit first before cutting the bar because it’s probably not replaceable without contacting the manufacturer for a replacement bar and the instructions to do it.Hope this helps.KD

Not bad for the money
Product works well. My door was 1 in 5/8 thick so I had to make some adjustments to the latch pins and fastening hardware. The Image where I'm pointing are the components I had to grind down. Just know if your putting this on a thinner door like I did, you have to take a symmetrical amount off each pin. Or Ensure that they go at least half way in to your latch mechanism. The only issue I have is it seems when I tighten it all the way down it's tough to actuate.

ordered twice and defective both times
ordered first time and the screw wasn't threaded correctly. Ordered a second time and the key mechanism doesn't work.

Great latch and great quality!
Works perfectly. Make sure you pay attention to the location of the lock from your old handle to the new one. The handle can be switch, so if you want the handle pointing in or out you can switch that during install. The new latch is very smooth, and takes very little effort to lock it. All metal, but not sure how it will hold up against the UV light, time will tell.

Pretty, but not functional
Incomplete set, no strike plate, no lock. Just the handle for 70 bucks. Not worth it.

Not keyed the same
If you order more than one for the home, contact the manufacturer directly and let them know which order is yours. Otherwise, you have to return them AT YOUR COST and these are heavy. 9 of them cost around $60 to return. Contact them BEFORE ordering.
