Confused with recipes when some obviously irritate those with GERD
I was excited to read and start using the recipes in this cookbook, however, it was a bit confusing. The author uses sugar (and often times a significant amount) in some of the recipes and sugar is clearly on the top of the list for causing inflammation. Another item listed in many recipes was cinnamon. Another offender. The book IS well ordered, has a lot of helpful information but is limited with the number of alkaline recipes to help those who suffer from GERD. It also has recipes for gluten free, vegetarian etc but many of the recipes are NOT listed as "alkaline". Disappointing!!. Finally, many of the recipes (but NOT ALL) list the category that the recipe belongs to (alkaline, gluten free, vegetarian etc). This is a huge help, although as said previously, I purchased the book as an Acid Reflux cookbook but a good number of recipes are not for those with GERD

Provides diverse options that are catered to those with sensitive stomachs
I have struggled finding recipes for my sensitive stomach and figured I would try making food from a cook book. I picked this because it was meant for GERD and that it said the recipes were easy (which to me means less time and less random ingredients). I appreciate the GERD reference material in the front, but you don't have to read it if you don't want to. I scrolled over several recipes and they are all pretty basic, but provided more diversity in food then I would be able to think of or search for on a recipe website (been stuck with plain chicken, rice, and vegetables for a while). Since the recipes are meant to avoid potential GERD triggers I was more willingly to try recipes how they were written. I just got done making and eating the veggie tacos and I am pretty impressed with how good they were and my stomach isn't killing me. So, it gets five stars from me. Hopefully the other recipes are just as good.

Recipes look very tasty in The Easy Acid Reflux Cookbook with very good advice in the beginning of the book
Very well written pages before the recipes start. Lots of the recipes look very good and I will try them. I suffer from GERD and IBS and I like that she lists at the top of the page if these recipes are LOW FODMAP, Paleo, Gluten free, Alkaline, Low Carb, Vegetarian, or Vegan. The only drawback to this book is that she should have listed in the Index pages where to find those particular types of diets. I have to go through all the pages and write down all LOW FODMAP recipes for when I have episodes of gastroesophageal reflux (GERD). She has a nice list of things to have on hand in your pantry to make these recipes which I like a lot. I will start an elimination trial to see which foods are irritating my stomach first so that I can make more than the Low Fodmap recipes and Alkaline recipes. All in all, this book is worth whatever I paid for it.

My family actually like most of the recipes and they are easy to prepare. I am still waiting to see if it helps my lpr. I have been using it for about 2 weeks. It does seem like it aggravates it less. The food is a lot better than the dropping acid book by Kaufman. Most of Kaufman's recipes I could barely choke down and I am not a picky eater (but she gave good info).

Excellent research
I enjoyed the information research and modifications to diet, it's been very helpful. I haven't quite transitioned to the recipes yet, but do so gradually. All the good foods are recommended to cease or modify. Drats!
