This is a very effective product. Not only does it tackle toilets brilliantly, but it also works exceptionally well on tap fittings, sink plughole build-up, and kitchen surfaces where limescale can collect. I particularly appreciate the thin nozzle—it allows for careful, precise application exactly where it’s needed. Highly recommend.

I live in an area that's absolutely terrible for hard water & I was totally fed up with all the hidden limescale/uriscale, & general nastiness that builds up under the rim of the bowl. It was even affecting the actual water dispersal as the toilet was flushed too & it really was starting to pong despite daily bleachings. Supermarket toilet cleaners, bleach (or even Cillit Bang/Viakal that usually eats its way through scale very effectively) just wouldn't deal with it or break this nastiness down at all. Additionally, they're just not thick enough to be persistent but this toilet cleaner is very thick indeed which allows it to cling to the nastiness for longer & get the job done. Personally, I also needed something strong & effective enough to do the job without me having to scrub around & under the rim of the toilet bowl due to severe disabilities. Ultimately, it took 3 separate applications & I used up the whole bottle whilst leaving it as long as humanly possible in between flushes each time. However, over the span of a day it gradually broke down more & more of the awful scale with each application & I visibly noticed large clumps of foamy goo falling out from under the rim. (I also noticed the smell getting considerably worse for a few hours after application which was a further sign that this cleaner was successfully eating its way through all of the nasty scale/deposits.) I DIDN'T NEED TO SCRUB AT ALL EITHER. After the final application had, had sufficient time to do it's job I simply flushed the toilet & wiped around under the rim & the scale was completely gone. (I've spent a small fortune on other products trying to sort this problem out over time, then one relatively cheap bottle ended up doing the job entirely in less than 9 hours with no effort required at all.) Everything is all completely smooth under the rim like new, the toilet is actually flushing properly again for the water dispersal, & no more nasty niffs at all. SUCCESS!!!!I've ordered another bottle for future use as this cleaner is highly effective with absolutely ZERO EFFORT required, (the longer you can leave it applied the better & multiple applications may be required for long term build ups as well). I'll just use it more frequently in smaller amounts in the future so the toilet rim doesn't ever get as bad as it had in the first place. A second bottle should go a lot further than the first. Very straightforward to use & no special handling required at all. Whilst it is VERY effective it is quite pricey so I'm dropping a star for value for money, otherwise I'd happily recommend it & as noted I am ordering again myself. 4/5.

I’m a big fan of HG products and this is no exception. We have an old bathroom suite which suits our old cottage but the toilet was very stained under the rim and in the bowl.The HG toilet cleaner worked a treat. I sucked all the water out of the bowl, using my carpet cleaner (!) and then poured in the magic liquid. I left it for a couple of hours and then scrubbed until it was clean. It did take quite a bit of scrubbing but that limescale had probably been building up for several years.I’ll use this periodically now, to keep on top of the problem. I’m very pleased that I chose HG again ☺️

I live in a hard water area and after not too long our toilet bowls accumulate lots of limescale below the waterline.This stuff does work, it take time and sometime multiple applications. To get rid of heavy build-up I found myself squeezing really quite a lot of the bottle in, may 25% of it in one go. I stirred it into the water as otherwise it's so thick it just pools in the bottom of the toilet. Then leaving it overnight. It will remove some of the limescale doing this. But it may need another application to get it properly clean.I think with the restrictions on selling acids these days that the cleaners just aren't of the same strength as they used to be.

The only thing that has actually worked!!! I had awful stains in the toilet bowl, and I tried everything. The scouring stones were ok, but this was effortless and I didn’t need to scrub afterwards. I left the product for 3 hours, flushed, used a toilet brush to get rid of loose bits and the toilet was gleaming!!! Will buy again and again and again

Works well but needed multiple applications to remove most of the grime. Effective overall, but not as powerful as expected. 4/5 stars.

This stuff really works. I had a very smelly loo that was scrubbed and cleaned with ordinary limescale remover products to no avail. Bought another bottle as I will use it monthly now.
