A good choice in a router upgrade
Netgear offers many choices in routers depending on your needs. I like the upright ,compact, no antenna "arms" design of this router; it takes up less space on your desk. It's convenient to have the network name and password clearly shown on a label. It was fairly easy to set up and seemed compatible with the tv, laptop, phone, only connectivity issue was with the chromebook, but that's typical of them. It's been functional and reliable so far.

This could be trouble!
The truth! This router may cost me some points in my marriage. Our previous Nighthawk router lasted for years without any trouble; however it was time to upgrade due to the many devices that we have in the house. My wife decided the best course of action would be to research on the internet and find the cheapest router with the best articles, and she order any other named router. Knowing that this would become an issue in the future and wanting the stability, signal strength and reliability of the Nighthawk again, I order this unit and stored it in the hallway closet. Once the cheap router gets my wife to the point that she is ready to make a change, I will be prepared to spring into action with a router known for its functionality, ease of use and signal strength! If she finds the router before then.......it won't be the WIFI signal that I will be concerned with. Wish me luck! I will update this review, once I am able to make my move!

Super easy setup
I needed to replace my leased router with Spectrum, which cost $10/month. I chose to stick with Netgear because it has been reliable in the past for streaming movies. If the power flickers, it comes back up with no issues. It has not disappointed! It was really easy to get up and running within minutes of unboxing. It doesn't always reach out on my patio, but that doesn't matter much to me.

It’s the one!i
Amazing router. It takes awhile to boot up and set up but the process was smooth with no issues. Great range but most importantly, blazing speeds! We paid for 1.5 GB/sec internet with Xfininty and using their modem/router combo, we only got download speeds of 350 MB/sec. I upgraded us to the Nighthawk modem and ASUS RT-AX88U router but that only got us to 750 MB/sec. With the Nighthawk router, we are getting 1.3 MB/sec speeds!!! Connecting Ring cameras and Alexa devices was smooth and without issues whereas I had some issues with the Asus. Thoroughly impressed by the performance and ease of setup. Highly recommend.

Good coverage in the home and outside too. Good bet for the amount you pay!
Excellent for price point easy to set up works flawlessly however sometimes I noticed speeds drop. Coverage in and out of the home is amazing!Best coverage from any router we’ve had.

A step back in time
One would think that this new router would be an improvement from our old R7000 from 2013, right?Wrong!!As soon as I plugged it in, troubles started and I was back to the prehistoric times of Wifi with 30~40 Mbps download speeds. This machine is advertised for a 3000 square feet coverage. We live in a 800 square feet, 2 stories town house (not exactly a mansion) but reception was so bad that we could no longer play videos on one of the computers (through the old router we've been playing videos for years without problems). The Smart connect is also a huge failure. Our machines were connected to the 5 Ghz band, but were given 2.4 Ghz band speeds. I disabled it and this seemed to fix the download speed. However the next day I came back home after a couple of hours and the 5 Ghz band Wifi was gone! Computers were disconnected and unable to reconnect (had to reboot the router).Netgear has a nice flyer inside the box with the phone number to their Support. I am an IT guy and I do not have the time to spend hours on the phone to be asked if I updated to the latest firmware and to be instructed to reboot the router. If Netgear cannot make a router that works right out of the box, it has nothing to do in my home and was returned after 2 days...

WiFi 7 with blazing fast speeds
I picked up the Nighthawk BE12000 a couple months ago to upgrade my aging Wi-Fi 6 setup, and honestly, I’m really impressed. Setup was super straightforward—NETGEAR’s app walked me through everything in maybe 10 minutes, and I didn’t run into a single hiccup. The speed and range are where this thing really shines. I’ve got a mix of devices—newer phones, a gaming PC, smart TVs, and a ton of smart home gear—and everything runs noticeably smoother. I was a little skeptical about Wi-Fi 7 being more hype than anything right now, but I’m definitely seeing faster throughput and way better stability, especially during heavy use (video calls, 4K streaming, gaming all at once—no problem). The design’s pretty slick too. It’s not one of those weird spaceship-looking routers, but it still feels high-end and modern. Haven’t had to reboot it once since installing, which says a lot. Only downside is the price—it’s definitely not cheap—but if you're already looking at high-end routers and want something future-proof, this one’s worth considering. I feel like I won’t have to upgrade again for a long time.

Everything I Hoped For!
I purchased the Nightgear BE12000 Router to replace the Nightgear 1900 that I have been using for more than 10 years. I loved the dependability of the 1900 but wanted a router with more range for my 4000 sq ft home.My new router is doing what I hoped for. I have not only replaced the 1900, but also a second router I needed for the distant parts of my home. Installation was easy and all of my wifi devices are now connected and working well. I love this router!
